Centre for Inclusive Design offers app accessibility solutions to evaluate the level of accessibility of your app according to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 or WCAG 2.1 level. We can perform audits on live apps, however, we recommend performing these audits during the wireframe or design review stage to reduce the amount of work required to become compliant.
Our process has been refined by our team to ensure accuracy, speed, and compliance by:
- Using automated evaluation tools
- Manually checking each issue identified
- Testing your app with assistive technologies such as screen readers and magnifiers
- Benchmarking your results with our previous clients
We compile all our results in a detailed report separated into conformance Level A and AA for WCAG 2.1 with severe and prominent issues highlighted, Level AAA is also available upon request but may increase project time. The report also includes information on each issue regarding how it affects people and how to remediate the issue with references to coding and/or figures. Each report is generated to be readable at any technical level with both non-technical summaries and technical detail provided. These results will then be presented to your team by one of our accessibility experts in order to enable quick feedback to any questions you might have.
App accessibility is a growing field, with most smartphones having baked in accessibility it is essential your app is accessible to fit in with the system. Centre for Inclusive Design ensures that your app is accessible to the widest range of people that expands your market reach whilst creating a fundamentally more complete app.
