Implementing Inclusive Design and Inclusion - 14th August 2018

Inclusive design is a set of tools and principles to help organisations navigate this complex landscape, create compelling customer experiences and evoke deep brand connection. At this Inside Edge event we discussed how to:

  • Make new markets
  • Hire and harness top talent
  • Create bonds with customers
  • Innovate for advantage

The panel was be moderated by Dr. Manisha Amin, CEO at Centre for Inclusive Design. and included:

International speaker, and Head of Inclusive Design at Adobe, Matt May. Based in Seattle, Washington, May’s work includes integrating inclusive design practices across every aspect of the Adobe user experience, training and mentoring the Adobe Design team, advocating principles of accessibility and inclusive design to the public at large. 

Genevieve Clay-Smith, writer, film director, executive director of Bus Stop Films and Co-Founder of Taste Creative. Clay-Smith is an advocate for social justice and inclusion for people living with a disability. She was named the 2015 NSW young Australian of the year and winner of the AFR's 100 women of influence awards for 2014, both awards recognising her contribution to creating inclusion within the film industry. 

Matthew Tice, CEO of Insurgence, a firm dedicated to helping organisations to navigate and lead through disruptive change, they help clients at the nexus of strategy, innovation and leadership to accelerate growth by discovering new paths to market and building disruptive business models. Tice is a leading advisor to CEOs across Asia-Pacific in the areas of strategy design and execution, leadership, innovation and governance. He has worked with hundreds of organisations on six continents to create value using practical and innovative methods that help achieve breakthrough results and has worked as a senior advisor with many of the world's leading organisations including Toyota, Bank of Tokyo, Mitsubishi and Canon.
